Jajaran Pengurus Pusat SWI diterima langsung oleh Ketua Komisi Penelitian, Pendataan dan Ratifikasi Pers Atmaji Sapto Anggoro, dan tenaga ahli Winarto beserta Sekretariat Dewan Pers Rita.
“Alhamdulillah SWI hari ini telah mendaftarkan diri untuk menjadi konstituen Dewan Pers.” ujar Sekjen SWI Herry Budiman didampingi Wakil Ketua Umum Ali Nasrullah, Bendahara Umum Anwar Nurdin, Kabid Humas Hendra Gunawan dan Kabid Hubal Arief Ramdhani.
Herry menjelaskan bahwa menjadi konstituen Dewan Pers merupakan salah satu misi SWI dan menjadi program prioritas hasil Rakernas Juli 2022 di Bogor yang diikuti 180 Pengurus SWI se Indonesia.
“Konsekwensinya SWI harus melengkapi persyaratan sesuai Peraturan DP Nomor 07/Peraturan-DP/V/2008 tentang pengesahan SK DP Nomor 04/SK-DP/III/2006 tentang Standar Organisasi Wartawan. ” ungkap founder SWI ini.
Menurutnya, untuk melengkapi persyaratan menjadi organisasi wartawan konstituen Dewan Pers memang tidak mudah. Namun, berkat kesolidan dan kesepahaman pengurus SWI di seluruh Indonesia, akhirnya persyaratan itu dapat dipenuhi. Herry juga menegaskan bahwa SWI tidak teralifiasi dengan Dewan Pers Indonesia (DPI).
“DPP melakukan vermin terhadap pengurus dan anggota. Bahkan DPP sempat mencabut SK 8 DPW SWI Provinsi dan 2 DPD Kabupaten/Kota dengan anggota sekira 200an orang, karena tidak tertib administrasi dan beberapa kedapatan sudah tidak bekerja pada media pers.” terangnya.
Untuk eksistensi SWI, menurut Herry, selain program internal, pengurus di seluruh daerah diwajibkan melaksanakan program Ngobrol Pintar dan Inspiratif (Ngopi) Bareng jajaran forkompimda, tokoh masyarakat dan sebagainya. Ngobar kan forum diskusi untuk menjawab isu-isu terkini di daerahnya masing-masing.
“Ngopi Bareng itu sumbangsih SWI memberi solusi terhadap isu atau persoalan yang timbul di daerah masing-masing. Apalagi jika bisa dilaksanakan setiap minggu. Keren kan pengurus SWI di daerah” ungkapnya
Sementara, program internal adalah pengingkatan kompetensi anggota melalui diklat dan workshop tematik, dan mengikuti UKW. Untuk
peningkatan kesejahteraan, SWI juga sudah punya Koperasi Sekber Wartawan Sejahtera (SWS) tinggal diberdayakan saja.
“Selain menjadi anggota Koperasi SWS anggota juga diharuskan menjadi peserta BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.” ungkapnya
